Day 1: Gün Kalkandelen (Tetova) – Ohrid
Arrival at Skopje airport by flight from Istanbul at 11:00. Meet with the local Turkish guide. Transfer to Ohrid Lake, visiting the beautifully crafted Mosque, the best-kept secret of Tetova’s Ottoman architecture on the way. Arrival in Ohrid in the afternoon, walking tour in the central pedestrian street. Accommodation at the hotel.
Day 2: Ohrid – St. Naum – Struga – Ohrid
In the footsteps of the Ottomans;
After breakfast at the hotel, we will move towards St. Naum, a mysterious site at the southern tip of Lake Ohrid along the Ohrid Riviera. We will visit the monastery and hear all the legends, followed by a canoe ride on the River Drim, which is part of Galicica National Park. Free time for lunch at the Ostrovo restaurant, which has the best location.
In the afternoon, we will head to Struga, the poetic town where we will see the exit of the River Drim from the lake. After the tour, we will return to Ohrid Hotel.
Day 3: Ohrid – Tirana – Ohrid

After an early breakfast, we will head to Albania. Crossing the Kjafasan border, we will arrive in Tirana, the heart and capital of Albania. Our tour of Tirana, which has a never-ending movement and energy like all other European metropolises, will start with visits to important points such as Skënderbej Square, the Edhem Bey Mosque (built between 1798 and 1812), the 35 m high Clock Tower, and the fortress of the Roman Emperor Justinian (AD 520). Following that, we will visit the memorial of Kapllan Pasha and the Tabakëve Bridge. On the way back to Ohrid in the afternoon, we will visit Elbasan. Accommodation at our hotel in Ohrid.
Day 4: Ohrid – Bitola – Skopje

After breakfast, we will depart from Ohrid and travel east to Bitola, a city that was an important center during the Ottoman period. Upon arrival, we will tour the city visiting the Kemal Atatürk section of the Bitola Museum. We will stroll down the pedestrian street where the 18th-century houses are located, visiting the Yeni Mosque, the Ishak Çelebi Mosque, and the Clock Tower. Afterwards, we will go to Skopje and visit the 15th-century Mustafa Pasha Mosque, the Kapan Han, the Davut Paşa Hamam and the Old Bazaar of Skopje. We will explore the city’s symbol, the Stone Bridge and the Alexander the Great fountain in the central square. Accommodation at our hotel in Skopje.
Day 5: Skopje – Prizren
In the footsteps of the Ottomans;
After an early breakfast, we will move to Kosovo. We will have a walking tour in Prizren: Şadırvan Square, the Castle and surrounding structures, the St. Premta Church, the Savior Church, the Bayraklı Mosque, the Safi Sinan Pasha Mosque, the city’s baths (Turkish baths), the city’s water sources, the Stone Bridge, and numerous traditional folkloric houses that have been inherited over the centuries will be among the places to visit. In the afternoon, we will return to our hotel in Skopje for accommodation.
Day 6: Skopje – Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport at 09:00, flight to Istanbul at 11:40. See you on the next Melikoğlu Tourism trip, stay healthy.
